Ollie Satterfield Obituary

Ollie Hepler Satterfield, 102, of Thomasville, N.C. went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 6, 2025 at her home. She was born on October 7, 1922 in Randolph County to Benjamin Lee Hepler and Allie Victoria Kennedy Hepler. She was the youngest of six children and for her entire life she lived within one half mile of her birthplace. She graduated from Trinity High School when there were only eleven grades.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Bruce Satterfield (d. 1985); and her siblings, Viola Mae Cody, Ambrose Wilson Hepler, Annie Lee Hughes, Maggie Jane Sink and infant Mary Lou Hepler.

She is survived by her two children, Sheila Brady (Alan) of Greensboro, N.C. and Gary Satterfield (Phyllis) of Thomasville, N.C.; her two grandchildren, Amelia and Austin; and one great-grandchild, Henry.

She was a lifelong member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in Thomasville, where she was actively involved with the United Methodist Women and the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. She lived a humble life with an abiding love for her family and the Lord.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 13 in the sanctuary of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in Thomasville, with Pastor Tonia M. Reaves officiating. Interment will follow immediately after in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall after interment. Ollie will lie-in-state 30 mins prior to the service at the church for those who would like to pay their respects.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate caregivers of Medi Home Health & Hospice. Memorials may be made in her memory to Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church of Thomasville. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.jcgreenandsons.com.
