Shirley Brown Davis, 82, died peacefully Sunday, September 11, 2022 at Beacon Place. A celebration of life will be held Monday, September 19, 2022, at St. Stephen United Church of Christ. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Funeral service will begin at 12 p.m. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.

"Dear Shirley's Family, Only today I learned of her passing. I was out of town at the time. By a fluke I saw a G'boro call on my caller id when I returned home. When no more calls came, I found this obituary. So sad to know that Shirley is gone! She was my first supervisor when starting my counseling career in Greensboro @ '90 with TASC and we stayed in touch.. She was 1 of a kind special and taught me things I will never forget. My deepest sympathy to Shirley's family. Shirley was so kind to teach me how to set up a sister program to her TASC program in Greensboro. She was always helpful and kind to me. She was a mentor to me. Prayers for those who love her.
