Andrew Aiken Obituary

Andrew Jackson Aiken, Sr., 72, husband of Martha Sue Kelly Aiken, died Saturday morning, Feb. 7, 2004, at Laurel Hill Nursing Center.

Mr. Aiken was born in Pickens County, son of the late Walter Austin and Flossie Crawford Aiken. Mr. Aiken was retired from John D. Hollingsworth and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Aiken had also served as a volunteer fireman with the City of Easley.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three sons, Andrew J. Aiken Jr., of Liberty, Robert Bradley Aiken, of Easley and Robert Lee Aiken, of Liberty; three daughters, Jane Miller, of Greenwood, Debbie Moore, of Easley and Rebecca Cochcroft, of Easley; one brother, Calvin Aiken, of Anderson; and seven grandchildren, Joshua Aiken, Susan Miller, Lynn Moore, Eddie Jackson, Stephen Cochcroft, Ashley Aiken and Arron Aiken.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in the Chapel of Dillard Funerals and Cremations by the Rev. H.C. Couch and the Rev. Garland C. Sentell. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 today at the funeral home.
