Andrew Weaver Obituary

Andrew J. Weaver

Taylors - Andrew James Weaver, 16, went to be with Jesus on October 30, 2018. Andrew was born February 1, 2002, to Jay and Kim Weaver of Taylors, SC. He attended Wade Hampton High School where he was a member of the senior class. In addition to his parents, Andrew is survived by his sisters Sarah (Lance) Rogers of Charlotte, NC, and Katie Weaver, and Emily Weaver, both of the home. Also surviving are his grandparents Jerry and Gloria Weaver and Wyndel and Len Cooper, all of Greenville, and great-grandmothers Gloria Elledge of Duncan and Shirley Smothers of Greenville. Always with a smile on his face, Andrew was full of energy, a lover of life and challenges, a wakeboarder, daredevil, inventor, prankster, fisherman, and gamer. He was a kind, thoughtful, caring son, grandson, brother, brother-in-law, cousin, nephew, and friend, and most importantly a soul saved by grace to spend eternity with his Redeemer, Jesus Christ. As much as these words offer some description of who Andrew was, they do not come close to describing the way he could touch someone's heart. He was always there for an encouraging word or a quick-witted joke to make you laugh. He loved everyone, and everyone loved him. Andrew, you will be missed every day and our memories of you will never fade. The impression you left on this world is everlasting. We will miss you terribly, but we know we will see you again.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, November 3rd, at 4:00 pm in the Taylors First Baptist Church sanctuary.

In lieu of flowers, Andrew would request that memorials be made to Fireweed Ministry, PO Box 770195, Eagle River, AK 97577 or Miracle Hill Childrens Home, PO Box 2546, Greenville, SC 29602.

Dearest Weaver Family, Jay we know you by way of high school, Judd, and all of you guys such pals. We were saddened and stunned by the death of your son Andrew. We rejoice as he had joined The Church Triumphant! We only learned of your loss this last week. Judd called to say he had been contacted by friends. We wish we could have been present to support you and yours in person. It will be the best you all can do to take one day at a time. We hope during this season you will feel Gods presence and blessings. Andrew , from all the precious words seemed like a very fun loving young man. And that he enjoyed life to fullest. This was so heartbreaking to hear. I don't know your family or Andrew but Greenville is such a small community we are all connected in some way with mutual friends etc. We are praying for your family for peace and comfort in a time that is just unfathomable. So happy he was a believer and from a wonderful family. Just looking at this picture you can tell what a happy spirit Andrew was. May you feel God's love as you go through this horrible tragedy. Lots of love and prayers to your family.

Dear Weaver Family,
I'm so so sorry to hear of Andrew's passing. I've only met him a few times, but I felt I knew him well through Sarah's eyes when she worked at HIS Radio. I'm praying for supernatural peace and strength and comfort for all of you that only our Lord Jesus can give.

Jay, Kim, girls and extended family.... I remain heartbroken and grieving for the passing of your sweet Andrew. Having watched Jay grow up and begin his family, it is so hard to accept that one is already in the arms of The Lord. Please know that you are in my prayers and in my heart. May God comfort you with his Grace and Mercy.

One of my favorite memories of Andrew is when he was about 5 yrs old. I took him to see the Curious George movie at the theatres. Afterwards, I took him out to eat and we stopped at a store to get some candy. While there, Andrew found a Curious George monkey in an Easter Basket which just happened to be on sale. I bought it for him and he carried that monkey everywhere! Fast forward 9 years.... I was at his home for Thanksgiving Dinner and had brought my 5 yr old grandson and Andrew had the best time playing with Luke. Andrew loved everyone but he had a special place in his heart for children and babies! Luke did not want to come to the table to eat, he wanted to keep playing with Andrew! Love that kid!! Can't wait to see him again!
