Bryan Roper Obituary

Bryan Lee Roper, of 207 Eunice Drive, Greenville, died June 10, 2001, after a period of declining health.

Son of Nancy Raines Roper and the late Fred Lee Roper, he was born in Greenville. He was a graduate of Travelers Rest High School and Clemson University. He was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church and a volunteer participant in various youth activities. He had been employed in manufacturing and insurance.

He is survived by his son, Stephen Lee Roper of the home, to whom he was completely devoted; two sisters, Pamela Roper Burdett of Greenville, and Sherri Roper Guin of Simpsonville; and a brother, David Michael Roper of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Clyde Stephen and Mary Lee Raines, and Fred and Lottie Roper.

Visitation will be held at The Mackey Mortuary, Century Drive on Tuesday evening, June 12, 2001, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Services will be held in the Chapel of The Mackey Mortuary at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 13, 2001. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park following the service.

The family is at the home of Tim and Sherri Guin, 2 Deer Track Road, Simpsonville, S.C.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Thornwell Home for Children, P.O. Box 60, Clinton, SC 29325 or to your favorite charity.
