Dear Driskell family- I am so, so sad to read this news in our church directory. Your family is such a beautiful caring family. A favorite of mine from attending Pendleton Street Baptist . Your parents no doubt are having a fine reunion with her now. But my heart is so heavy for you and for Jim as you miss her dearly. Love you all, Susan Mc

Dena was a wonderful friend and much too good for this earth! She made me laugh every day I knew her and was one of the most thoughtful people I know! We worked together 2 years and I'm truly a better person having known her! I love you Dena and will miss you terribly! I know I'll see you again one day in Heaven!

Dear Julie, Suzanne, Mary Lynne and Chuck, I cannot imagine the depth of your sorrow at the loss of your beloved Dena. Words seems inadequate to express my sorrow to you all. Dena had such a love of life - her quick wit and spontaneous ways made her so loved by so many. She was my college roommate and I remember visiting your home on weekends - how she adored all of you. Dena will always be in my heart. Sent with love and sympathy,

Dena and I went Anderson College together and I can still see her standing in the dorm rooming laughing about something silly we were talking about. Dena was always a fun person and loved a good "story." My how the years fly by--when I knew her, we were just young girls without a care in the world. Condolences to the family and to the loved ones of Dena...and from all of the comments in the Guest Book, it looks like Dena continued to shine her light in a lot of lives. May she rest in eternal peace and continue to shine her light in Heaven.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this sad time. Our lives have been intertwined with the Driskells for a long time. George worked with Charlie for years and I had the good fortune to teach Chuck and Tripp and to know Suzanne. We love you all.

I was privelaged to know Dena in several ways...we share the same nieces and nephews whom we love, we worked together, we both shared a love for cooking and food, and she was a friend. Everything that everyone says is true. Dena was always smiling and always made you feel special! She will be greatly missed on this earth. My thoughts and prayers are with all the family.
