James Allen McNickle, 83, widower of Susan Knight McNickle, died Tuesday, February 8, 2011.
Born in Muncie, IN, he was the son of the late Arthur and Irene Ault McNickle.
Mr. McNickle was retired from Professional Engineering and was a veteran of the US Navy having served during World War II.
Surviving are a son, Jeff McNickle and wife, Jill, of Tampa, FL; and two grandchildren, Brittany and Matthew McNickle.
Services will be held at a later date.

I want to extend my deepest sympathy to you Jeff and your family. I'm not sure if you remember me but I'm Robin Owens Smith, Rick Owens' sister. He and I were just wondering about you two weeks ago. You will be in my thoughts and prayers as I know what it's like to lose your Dad.

I worked with Jim at 3 different Engineering Companies and considered him a good friend. He will be missed.

We will not forget Jim and the major contributions he made to Professional Engineering. He was a great fiend and a person you could always count on to do the right thing.
