Mr. Jessie was a great friend of mine, as well as all of our crew at the Furman Golf course (2000-2006). I had the pleasure of learning many things from Jessie, he was a dedicated worker, who quietly taught by example. His work ethic was matched by none. Whenever I could, I would lobby to work with him during the day- he showed me the benefits of hard work, as well as the beauty of land/nature. I remember riding in the cart with him one morning, he looked out, and said "that squirrell's got 1 eye". Sure enough, when we kept riding a few hundred feet, the squirrell had a defective eye! He was also a master at tree felling, as all will attest. I remember his story about the time when he was a young man at a saw mill, and he said "a 50"saw wheel broke from its mount, and spun off the saw table after me". He said the blade "ran up my chest, cut me pretty bad." I also enjoyed playing golf together with Jessie, Ricky, and his son Austin. I have no clue how they ever replaced him over there at Furman. Mr. Jessie, you are my friend- I will see you again

I was saddened to learn of Jessee's passing but I am so Thankful that I visited Him and Ruby just a few months ago and we reminisced about the old days when I would go Fox hunting with My Dad and Jessie on many a cold night and as I sat there shivering as a Young boy I wondered how they enjoyed this sport of listening to dogs yelp off in the distance? But they did and both Jessie and My Dad loved it! I hope They hook up in Heaven and are able to go Fox hunting again just like they used to do. God bless this Family as they cope without the Patriach of this family. He will be sadly missed.

My sweet Mr. Hamby will not be forgotten. I only knew him for a short time but I loved to see that smiling face greeting me every morning. I know I made a difference in him and he and the loving family made a difference in my life as well. I may have lost a friend but I gained several in return. I will never forget his stay with me. Thank you for allowing me to be part of his last days. I love you all and my heart breaks for.
