Ruth, I was so surprised and sorry to hear of Pat's passing this week. Though rejoicing that he is with his Savior, I know you will feel the loss of his companionship deeply, and I pray for God's grace and comfort for your family. Psalm 119:76: "Let, I pray thee, thy merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to thy word unto thy servant." John 17:24: "Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory."

Pat was consistent and compassionate, and very kind to my family ever since I was a teenager. I knew he was our friend, and we will miss seeing him on campus.

Dear Kitty, I am sad for the sudden loss of your dad. He was a college and long-time friend of ours, and we will miss seeing him at Heritage and Bob Jones when we come back to visit. Kitty, I am praying for Hazen at this time, and for wisdom for you and Brian as you explain to him where Grandpa is. Please know that your friends are upholding you in prayer not only this week but as time goes on.
We do rejoice that he is in the very presence of our Lord, but we grieve at your loss. Please express our love and condolences to your dear mother, too. Margie Kauffman

Dear Mrs. Doyle and Children,
Mr. Doyle was a godly man who meant a lot to those of us who worked at the switchboard at BJU. I worked for him as a student from 1990-1994 and then again as a staff member from 1996-1997. So sorry to hear of your loss. I pray for God's grace during this time.

Mr. and Mrs. Doyle often bought me hot chocolate in the snack shop during my early morning shift. It was a huge encouragement as a first semester freshman.
