Philip Plowman Obituary
Simpsonville
Philip Henry Plowman, 69, of Simpsonville, husband of Ellen Perry Plowman for 46 years, died Sunday, September 17, 2017.
Born in Portland ME, he was the son of the late Warren and Elizabeth Milliken Plowman.
Philip received his Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from the University of New Hampshire. He had a long career with GE covering 45 years which involved extensive international travel. He was an avid golfer and a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Kathryn Plowman of Greenville, and Sara Carias of Simpsonville; a grandson, Philip Riley Carias; a sister, Connie Masi of York, ME; a sister-in-law, Sylvia Fecteau (Andre) of Bangor, ME; two brothers-in-law, Michael Perry of Eddington, ME and Paul Nelligan of Veazie, ME; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, with visitation following.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the ALS Association, 200 Patewood Drive, Suite B350, Greenville, SC 29615, or to the charity of one's choice.

I can't express the sorrow I am feeling for the loss of my dear cousin. It was a gift that we were able to reconnect in Texas and share so many memories, laughter, and and heartfelt thoughts in recent years. Philip was like a big brother to me and I will always treasure our friendship. He will be greatly missed. Richard and I send our deepest sympathy to Ellen and their daughters.
