Tommy will be missed in our community and in our hearts. Tommy was a contributor to Community and State his entire life. He always had a smile on his face and a positive attitude of how can I contribute for the betterment of all.
I served on the Higher Education Board at USC Upstate with Tommy and he was a great leader. He loved his Citadel and we called him "The General" in love and respect.
He was a great business man and made numerous contributions as noted by his legacy.
We have Elizabeth and the Young family in our hearts and prayers during this difficult time.
Tommy will be missed but would want all of us to strive to follow his example of love for his fellow man!

To the Young Family - My sincerest of condolences to the entire Young Family. I was fortunate to know Tommy through business activities in Spartanburg and Greenville. I always found Tommy to be most courteous and forthright in everything he did. The world, indeed, is a better place because of the many positive attributes of Tommy Young.

Mr. Young had a way of making you feel like you were the most important person in the room when he spoke to you, regardless of how many Generals and other dignitaries were present.

Elizabeth and family,
I am crushed! What will Spartanburg do without Tommy Young? I always enjoyed his visits to VBA. He was indeed a loyal friend and customer to Vic! He will definitely be missed my everyone. The Citadel Box will never be the same, however, I am sure his legacy will be carried on. Tommy had his happy face on when he told his stories about making sure food was ready for the games. My prayers and sympathy to all.
