Judith Hartmann Obituary

Judith Kalinski Hartmann of Greenwich, CT died peacefully while in hospice at Nathaniel Witherell on September 7, at the age of 84. She was born on May 26, 1940 to Ignace and Helen Kalinski in Greenwich, CT.

Known as Judy, she grew up in Greenwich and graduated from Greenwich High School in 1958. On August 29, 1964 she married Donald Hartmann and enjoyed 51 years of marriage together. As a young adult, Judith worked as a secretary for Griff Harris Insurance Company, became a homemaker, and then retired from Greenwich Public Schools as a secretary at Central Junior High School. She was a longtime member of St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church in Greenwich and spent her free time reading and doing Sudoku and word search puzzles. She enjoyed these activities while overlooking her Glenville neighborhood or the mountainside of Mt. Holly, Vermont. Judy spent her final years being lovingly cared for at The Greens at Greenwich Assisted Living Facility.

Judy was predeceased by her husband and her daughter Linda. She is survived by her daughter Patricia (John) Mould, her grandson John Mould, her brothers Thomas (Elizabeth) Kalinski and Robert (Sharon) Kalinski, her brother-in-law David Hartmann and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be private.
