Richard Watson Obituary

Mr. Richard W. Watson, (90) of Southbury, died on October 21, 2023. He was the husband of Priscilla (Pernal) Watson. Mr. Watson was born on April 30, 1933 in Plattsburgh, New York, son of the late Robert W. and Jessie (Fifield) Watson.

Mr. Watson was retired from Pomperaug Woods where he worked as a receptionist. Mr. Watson was a veteran of the Army, during the Korean War. He was a lifetime member and former Chaplin of VFW Post 1792 in Greenwich and a member and Past Exalted Ruler of the Elks Club #1150, formerly of Greenwich. He was a Communicant of the Church of the Epiphany in Southbury.

Besides his wife he is survived by two sisters, Margaret E. Watson and Enid Watson. He was predeceased by his brother Robert W. Watson.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 26 at 11:00 p.m. at the Church of the Epiphany, 262 Main Street North Southbury, 06488. Burial with military honors will be at 2:00 p.m. at Union Cemetery, Greenwich.
