John Paul & family:
It breaks my heart to have my mother's sister leave our presence, and especially, that we could not embrace her one last time. She was everyone's favorite aunt. All these years of celebrating Christmas at your house...it wouldn't be the same without mom. Auntie Mina was always a jolly person, down to earth, and we were always greeted with a smile. Memories of your BEAUTIFUL and magnificent mother will forever live in the hearts of my family. I know she was smiling and calmed as our Heavenly Father welcomed her at those gates - she hurts no more.
Uncle John, children, grands, brothers and sisters, friends and relatives of Auntie Mina- thank you for "being there" and that you made the best of her last days.

Mrs. Dierking was a dynamic lady, who was an instructor, while I was attending the University of Guam. We attended a HUD conference in Honolulu, while she was with GHURA and I was with the Northern Marianas Housing Corporation. She's lived a full life and will be sorely missed by many. To her sister, Auntie Rosie Diaz, I am deeply sorry that I am unable to personally comfort you during this difficult time. May her loving memories bring comfort to you and your family, her husband and children, and everyone who was blessed to know her.

Our deepest sympathy for your loss of a beautiful, loving and wonderful woman. We had the honor of inviting her to our home when she came to visit her brother Frank in Arizona many years ago. We enjoyed her company and her warm and elegant personality, along with her beautiful smile will always be remembered. I recalled what she said to me at the funeral of one of my family member (Doris Sablan-Olson) back in Sep 2007. She told me to accept the loss as Doris is now resting and with God and that she would want me to continue living as if though she was still with me. There are no words that can ease your sorrow but I pray that you find comfort in knowing that she is no longer in pain and watching over each of you. May she rest in peace. Uncle Frank, we will always be here for you.

Such a wonderful lady she was, Sen. H. Dierking. My mother worked for the senator and had nothing but wonderful things to say about her. The senator was there for us at the time of my mother's passing. How can one forget that beautiful smile that she had. Senator, I ask that you continue to keep a watchful eye over our island and its' people and pray for us all. I know that you will be recieved in heaven with such joy from all those who have departed before you and now are reunited in Eternal Life with our Creator. I was Herminia's mail carrier for the last 8 years. I originally knew her through her Grandson Kurt Dierking II who was my son's best friend and used to spend the night at my house regularly. They would be up all night jamming on electric guitars. Herminia's sister Josephine D. Perez also attends the same Church I do and is the Executive Secretary at the private Christian school my son graduated from. We fondly call her "Auntie Jo".
I used to see Herminia every day at the Cancer Center where she was being treated, because that is part of my mail route, as well as her residence in Jonestown.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ receive her into His presence and give her family "peace that passes all understanding" (Philippians 4:7) at this time of their loss.

To HDierking's Family Members:
My teen son and I express our sympathy for a great loss of one woman, Herminia, who demonstrated that a Guamanian (Chamorro) adult female can take a role to that of its male counterpart professionally and politically. She really taught me in her Business Communication class at the University of Guam (UOG) how to write business letters in the sense of being simple. We pray for you all. Judymae and Son

She had such love and joy. Her presence could light up a room and make a situation easier - and more joyful. She brought out people's confidence and caused them to rise to a higher level. Dear Uncle John and my cousins: You can't imagine how much your wife and mom touched those she met. She was the reason that I always took classes and eventually got my college degrees while working. Herminia was my classmate at Cathedral Grade in Agana. Although I left Guam in 1953, we kept in touch throughout the years; we saw each other when we came to Guam or when she came to California. I spoke to her while she was in Loma Linda for her treatment. Herminia was a true friend, indeed, and my "gang" in school and as adults. Our condolences and prayers to John and their children that Our Lord be with you during this very sad and difficult time. Hermen, you are now with our Blessed Mother; rest in peace, my friend. Adios.
