Agnes Rosetta (Milligan) King, 89, formerly of Means, Kentucky, was born October 31, 1932, in Nelsonville, Arkansas, to Ernest and Virginia (Willett) Milligan and peacefully passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at her daughter's home in Fort Gibson.
Growing up as a child, she worked most of her life on the family farm growing vegetables and crops. Rosetta married the love of her life, Coy M. King, on April 8, 1951, in Nelsonville, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on July 30, 2009.
She worked as a manager for Ruth Hunt's Candy for many years. Rosetta lived in several different states throughout her life, including Wichita, Kansas, for 22 years, Means, Kentucky, for 43 years, Arkansas for 23 years and one year in Oklahoma. Rosetta loved sewing, making quilts, baby blankets, reading and studying her Bible. She was a Bible Class Teacher most of her life. Rosetta was a faithful member of the Church of Christ. She loved helping friends, family and neighbors. Her legacy of devotion, faithfulness and love will be carried on by her family. She will be missed by all that knew her.
Rosetta is lovingly survived by her daughters, Sherry King of Fort Gibson and Karen (King) Brown and husband, Randy of Sapulpa; granddaughters, Amber Hunt and husband, Brian of Fort Gibson and Valerie Morgan and husband, Andrew of Tulsa; grandsons, Jeremy Stolp and wife, Jenny of Muskogee and Michael Brown of Sapulpa; great-grandchildren, Sonya Hunt and Azro Hunt, both of Fort Gibson, and Jenna Stolp of Muskogee; extended family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Coy M. King; brothers, Wesley Milligan, Floyd Milligan and Vernon Milligan; sisters, Avis Watkins, Beulah Milligan, Vada Bowers, Rutha Orr, Oretha Seat, Morene Smallwood and Lorene Atwell.
A graveside service celebrating Rosetta's life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Mount View Cemetery in Cave City, Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested making donations in Rosetta's name to Eastern European Mission (eem.org).
