Donald Nusbaum Obituary

Donald Ray Nusbaum
October 21, 1935 - March 7, 2025
Our beloved father, Donald Ray Nusbaum, 89, of Moyza Valley, AZ, passed away on March 7th, 2025. Don was born on October 21st, 1935, to Guy Nusbaum and Melvina Fetterer. He was the oldest and last surviving son of their seven children: Cecil, Kenney, Lynn, Keith, Gale, and Benny.
He is survived by his four daughters, Donna, Debbie, Diana, and Denise, as well as his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Don is predeceased by his loving wife, Mary Anne Nusbaum, whom he had been married to for 58 years. Throughout their time together, Don and Mary shared a love of sailing and exploring the waters of the Pacific Ocean. Don regularly expressed himself through his passion for art.
Don earned his first nickel at 5 years old, selling used newspapers. At age seven, he took the bus every weekend to harvest cotton. He went on to work as an engineer for Mountain Bell Telephone Company. Don later moved to the country with his family and utilized his incredible work ethic to start a successful real estate business, Arivaca Realty and later Santa Cruz Well & Pump Company, from which he retired at age 59. He lived out the rest of his years making new friends and lifelong memories by brightening every room with laughter. Don leaves behind a legacy of love and the ability to find humor in life, even amid the toughest of challenges.
We love you sweet Donnie.

Don and I crossed paths many times over the years whether he was fixing our families well, buying sheep from him or just stopping on the road. Great Man, he will be missed.
