Adam Mail Obituary


News Death Notice

MAIL, Adam J. 93, of Middletown, passed away on May 9, 2011 after a lengthy illness at Hospice of Butler and Warren County. He was born Dec. 20, 1917 in Middletown to John and Antonia (Rossi) Mail. He attended Holy Trinity School. He retired from Delco Moraine, division of General Motors after 30 years of service. Adam was a veteran of World War II and served in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre of war where he was awarded the bronze star. He was a member of the Orioles and the American Legion Post 218. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Violet (Hall) Mail, son John (Cindy) Mail of Middletown, his daughter Valerie Napoli of Old Saybrook, Connecticut, sisters Mary (Bill) Penewit of Kettering, OH and Carolyn Ridge of Middletown, OH. Grand children Natalie (Jeff) Agoos of Park Ridge, NJ, Douglas (Eileen) Jowett of Guilford, Connecticut, Adam (Julie) Jowett of Ocean Springs, MS., Jennifer (Greg) Urban of Clinton, Connecticut, Leslie (Henry) Astor of Brooklyn, New York, Matthew Mail of Charleston, SC, Christopher Mail of Middletown, OH, David Mail of Oshkosh,WI, Sarah Mail of West Carrolton, OH and Alex Mail of West Chester, OH and eleven great children. Adam was preceded in death by his parents John and Antonia (Rossi) Mail, his son, James Mail; sisters Eva Fay and Anna Ronto; brothers John Mail and James Mail. Visitations will be held at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown on Friday, May 13, 2011 from 11am - 1pm. A prayer service will be held Friday at 1:00 pm, with Father John Civille officiating. Adam will be entombed at Woodside Mausoleum with military honors conducted by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard. During his illness he had the support of many loving family and friends and Hospice of Butler and Warren County to whom we are forever grateful.
