News Death Notice

McGEE, Alma Went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Hospice of Butler and Warren County. She was born March 23, 1935 in Lynch, KY. She was a coal miner's daughter in Harlan County, KY. She moved here in 1941 with her family. Alma was married to C. Lee McGee for 61 years on May 14 1955. Alma was survived by Lee and their three children, daughter, Terri Jean (Steve) Norvell, son, Charles Michael McGee, son, Robert Morrison McGee. Alma is also survived by one brother, Orville (Linda) Wright Jr. and one sister Joyce (James) Dineen. She is survived by four grandchildren, Justin Norvell of Arizona, Amanda Norvell of Florida, Tucker McGee of Middletown, Lexie McGee of Middletown. She enjoyed five nieces and seven nephews. Alma is preceded in death by her loving parents, Orville Wright Sr. and Bertha (Rhea) Wright; one brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Colleen Wright. Alma was a very astute business woman. She was a store manager and bookkeeper for McGee Super Markets Inc. She was a charter member of New Covenant Church on Union Road. It was started by a small group of friends and Pastor Claude Robold. She was very dedicated to her church and its family. She will be greatly missed by her immediate family and her church family and friends as well. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 10, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 pm at New Covenant Church. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, March 11, 2016 at 10:00 am at the church with Pastor Randy Montgomery and Rev. Claude Robold. Interment will be at Elk Creek Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to The New Covenant Church, 4340 North Union Rd., Franklin, OH 45005. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.bakerstevensparramore.com
