News Death Notice
COOPER-RITCHIE, Austin Derrick Age 4, of Franklin, Ohio, went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Atrium Medical Center. He was born January 27, 2012 in Middletown, Ohio. He is survived by his father, Robert L. "Buddy" Ritchie III; his mother, Jessica Vanhooiser; half-sister, Scarlett K. Ritchie; two half-brothers, Paul Cooper and Jackson Cooper; paternal grandfather, Robert Ritchie, Jr.; paternal grandmother, Judette Ritchie; and paternal aunt, Judy Ritchie. Preceding him in death were his paternal great grandfather, Robert L. Ritchie, Sr.; great uncle, Scott Gibbs; great aunt, Beverly Ritchie; and half-sister, Kazimiera Woerner. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 22, 2016 from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. at the Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown, followed by services at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor James Anderson officiating. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park, Trenton, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown, Ohio 45044. To Rob's parents, please pass on our love to Rob. Lew has his address, but the day after he got it, he was admitted to the hospital for 8 days. He will be reaching out to Rob soon.

I don't know him but his story gripped me like no other. I can't imagine the pain that he had to go through at such a young age. He looked like a sweet, innocent little boy. My heart goes out to him. Rest in peace sweet boy. Rest in heaven and may your soul be one more reason to promote peace on Earth.

So sorry I didn't know this little angel but I feel so very sorry for his ending. My heart breaks for him and I would give anything to be able to have kept it from happening. He is in the arms of the angels now and will live forever in the presence of God.

He was a smart, funny, and the sweetest little boy. He had a laugh that was contagious. I remember seeing him at Christmas opening the gifts I got him and seeing his eyes light up and a big smile on his face seeing hot wheels and a carrying case for them. I can't forget that sweet polite thank you and amazing hug.Wish you were still here to laugh and play. You are loved by so many people and you will be forever missed.
