Bernice Logsdon Obituary
News Death Notice
LOGSDON, Bernice "Ruth" age 94, a long time resident of Franklin, Ohio, passed away Sunday, December 5, 2010 at Atrium Medical Center. Ruth was born October 18, 1916 to Taylor and Flora (Egelston) Dennis. She was the owner and operator of Ruth's Beauty Shop in Franklin for 56 years and was a very devout and loving mother and grandmother. She was a past member of the Eastern Star. Preceding her in death were her parents; three brothers, Earl, Estill and Wilbur Dennis; and one sister Ruby Howard. Ruth is survived by her son, Larry (Linda) Logsdon, of Gainesville, Virginia; her daughter, Betty Jo (Tom) Faulkner, of Franklin; four sisters, Pearl Hunter of Camden, Mabel (John) Kinder, of Monroe, Betty Kehrle of Miamisburg, and Wilma (Bob) Green of Camden; eight grandchildren, Chris (Shelly) Faulkner, Jeff (Angie) Faulkner, Butch (Tricia) Faulkner, Mike (Christy) Faulkner, Heather Stull, Jailene (Tim) Hinebaugh, Brandi Wilcox, and Natalie (Jay) Lowe; 25 great grandchildren; two great-great grandsons; 19 nieces and nephews; and someone very dear to her, Ms Billie Jo Faulkner. Visitation will be Thursday, December 9, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown, followed by services at 12:00 noon with Dr. Dan Flory officiating. Entombment will be at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care of Middletown or the Humane Society. Arrangements by Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown.

I was so sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. Words can't express the loss and the emptiness that I know you must be feeling. Know that with each day, and time your loss and grief will lessen and your days will be brighter. Cherish and remember the happier times and the light will shine on your most darkest days. These first holidays will be difficult but trust and lean on the love and support of your family as your mother would have wished and the heartache will lessen. A mother's love is so great. My prayers and thought are with you and your family.
