C. GOODWIN Obituary

GOODWIN, C. Floyd C. Floyd Goodwin, 78 of Mt. Victory. Services for C. Floyd Goodwin will be held at 11:00 Saturday, June 02, 2018 at Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Mt. Victory, with Rev. Bryan Meadows officiating. Burial will follow at Hale Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 until time of services on Saturday. He died at 7:38 pm on May 22, 2018 at Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo MI. He was born on February 29, 1940 in West Mansfield to the late Donald and Marie (Flickinger) Goodwin. On December 23, 1962 he married Sharma G. Penhorwood and she preceded him in death on June 11, 2014. Floyd is survived by his children, David (Kim) Goodwin of Fairfield, Cindy (Garey) Carson of Hamilton, Andrew (Loretta) Goodwin of Hamilton, Jolene Goodwin of Mt. Victory, and Adam Bosaw of Hamilton; 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 3 sisters Ruth Goodwin, Sue Childers, and Alice (Bryan) Meadows; and 5 brothers, Lee Goodwin, John Goodwin, Jim (Karla) Goodwin, Art (Janet) Goodwin, and Steve (Karen) Goodwin. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Joel Goodwin and brothers, Edgar, Don, Truman, and Russell Goodwin; and a sister Sara Nicol. He was a self employed general contractor. Floyd was a generous hard working father with a big heart for those in need, the heart broken, and the little children. He was a father figure to many. He was a creative and talented builder and woodworker. His smile, laughter, and humor will be missed by all. In lieu of flowers contributions maybe made to the family in care of the funeral home.
