Family-Placed Obituary


GILBERT, Carlos Gene Age 71 of Fairfield passed away at his residence on Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at 9:35 PM. He was born in Laurel County, Kentucky on July 14, 1934 the son of Chad and Myrtle (McCleney) Gilbert. Carlos was a United States Army veteran and was employed as a painter at Mosler Safe Co. for 29 years. He was a member of Victory Pentecostal Tabernacle. On December 4, 1959 in Hamilton, he married Alice Raynell Knisley. He is survived by his wife, Alice Gilbert of Fairfield; two daughters, Colleen Mae Dotson and her husband Charlie and Shauna Raynell Frazier and her husband John, both of Hamilton; four grandchildren, Jaclyn, Christina, Carlos, and Vanessa; ten brothers and sisters; and his mother-in-law, Mae Knisley of Fairfield. He was preceded in death by his parents and eight siblings. Funeral Service will be held at the Victory Pentecostal Tabernacle, 7460 Morris Road, on Saturday, July 15, 2006 at 10:00 AM with Brother Donald Pierce, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the church. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Simcoe and staff, Dr. Paula Weisenberger and staff, and to Vitas Hospice for their loving care and support.

i go to bro hubbard church and i have know your husband for many yrs im so sorry to hear about his death bro gilbert cared a very sweet sperit about him so humble and always smiling. my prayers and thoughts are with you in this time of sorrow. shirley hendrickson
