"To whom much is given, much is required" Bishop was given much and and he handled it well. I join others in adding my fondest memories of Bishop Pratt and to let Sister/Pastor Roseanne Pratt, the Pratt family and the Church of Jesus family that I send my prayers, blessings and heartfelt sympathies in learning of the Bishop's passing. My earliest memories are from high school during a time when I needed to feel safe and secure and years later when he gave words of wisdom to a single parent, trying to raise three kids, more times then I can ever say. My heart breaks, yet I celebrate in his life of displaying and modeling a true man of God, leader, and visionary. I Loved Bishop Pratt, and thank you for sharing him with the least of us.

I received a text message the other day informing me that my late Pastor had passed. I was a student at Wilberforce Un, and was witnessed to on campus by saints of God from the Church Of Jesus in 1977 and I was under the leadership and teaching of Bishop Pratt until I left Wilberforce, I have many of his messages from back then that still empowers me to inspire and empower others to keep on earnestly contending for the faith. I still have the convictions of my late pastor and i still feel the same way that he did about the word of God. I thank and praise God for blessing me to become born again under his great ministry.

First I want to thank God for lending us Bishop Cecil Pratt for a season and express our sincere condolences to his family and many friends.
Bishop Pratt was ahead of his times. Today we have adopted many of the things he implimented in our churches, that at the time seemed controversal. (He saw that it was what's inside a person that mattered.)
He fathered more pastors than anyone I know and some of them are my most trusted advisors and confidants.
I remember being amazed that his wife, Pastor Roseann Pratt, who was a national evangelist, would give up her great career to move to Springfield and serve und Bishop Pratt. I think that says a great deal about the man.
His son, Dist. Elder Gregory Pratt, has helped me greatly expand my understanding of my purpose and values.
My point in all of this is to show how truely great Bishop Pratt was to building people in the kingdom and the expanded impac of his ministry.
I thank God again for lending him to us and for all those he left to continue to lead and teach us.
My prayers continue...
Elder Henry Essick II, Pastor. On behalf of Sister Deborah Payne-Essick and the International Christian faith Church family.

At this time of grief and sadness at the loss of a very special pastor, father, father-in law, grandfather, and great grandfather and friend, I'm sure there are hundreds or perhaps thousands that could share stories of special memories they have of Elder Cecil Pratt, as I knew him.
The lives of great men all remind us that we can make our lives sublime, by leaving our footprints on the sands of time and this is what Bishop Pratt has truly done. I have kept back nothing that was profitable to you, but have preached it to you, and taught you publicly, and from house to house. Acts 20:20.
Thank you Bishop Pratt for your divine guidance in our walk with God; for your Godly teaching that built the mere foundation of our Christian walk; for all the hugs and kisses given each Sunday that made us feel as though we were your very own daughters, and for the Godly counseling and encouragement that have made us the women of God we are today.
Father, pastor, mentor, brother, friendhe has been all this to us. Bishop Pratt is now gone but will never be forgotten, his legacy has left an indelible mark on our lives. May God bless and comfort His family, today and each tomorrow.
