Christopher EDWARDS Obituary

EDWARDS, Christopher J. (Pomianowski) It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness that we share the news that Christopher J. Edwards, age 53, passed away, August 10, 2016, at his home in Beavercreek, OH. He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Diana (Pomianowski) Mann. Christopher is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Weigie (Ada Pomianowski), parents, Vic and Judy (Thompson) Edwards, of Noblesville, IN, brother, Scott (Samantha) Edwards, of Sherman Oaks, CA, sister, Paula Lurvey, of Somis, CA, and numerous relatives and neighbors. Christopher was born, 1/25/1963, at Travis A.F.B., CA. He resided in Indiana, graduated from Ball State University, worked for the VR Edwards Co., and moved to Dayton, OH to work as a General Sales Manager for Production Control Units, in Moraine, OH. Christopher was known for his love of the Arts and music, extensive travel, thirst for knowledge, riding his motorcycle, bicycling, and his love for his family and his kitties. As many close to him know, he had been battling health issues for many years, and the burden of the journey became far too much for him or his body to endure any longer. We wish him a beautiful, pain-free journey as he embarks on to the next phase of his spiritual existence. He was deeply loved, and will be truly missed. A gathering of friends and family will be held Sunday, September 25, at Newcomer Funeral Home 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, OH 45432. Visitation will be 2-3 pm, followed immediately by a memorial service. Rennes Bowers will officiate. Memorial contributions can be made to Gary Sinise Foundation or the Wounded Warriors Project. Condolences may be sent to the family @ www.NewcomerDayton.com.

Christopher... my man... you and I are the first-born, left-handed, January babies in our family. For some reason that always made me smile. You took really good care of my high school friends one summer; Jennifer specifically remembers talking to you - walking to the pier- at a time when she was not confident about being a young woman, and her place in the world. You and Scott changed that and she told me she has been forever grateful. I am most grateful for our drive to the Indy airport, the cancelled flight, and the party we went to instead... and your voice. I can recall it still.

I'm so sad and so sorry. Weigie, I love you and thank you for journeying with Chris, in sickness and in health. Thank you so much. Kimberly E.
