Clyde Chamberlin Obituary


News Death Notice

CHAMBERLIN, Dr. Clyde G. 95, of 295 Village Lane, Greenwood, IN, died Jan 21, 2009. He was born in Westchester, OH, the son of Dr. Charles J. and Alyce (Gerard) Chamberlin. He was a 1931 graduate of Hamilton High School and graduated from the University of Cincinnati, college of Medicine in 1938. He served in the US Army Air Force Medical Corps from 1942-1946 and continued to practice medicine in Hamilton until his retirement in 1986. He married June Morner, the daughter of J. Ernst and Margaret Morner of Hamilton on August 22, 1936. After his retirement, they moved to Greenwood, IN in 1991. His wife preceded him in death in 2001. He is survived by 4 sons: Dr. Jerry R. (Emmy) of Westmoreland, NH; Thomas L. (Susan) of Greenwood, IN; William D. (Becky) of Findlay, OH; and James E. (Rikki) of Stevenson, WA. One daughter, Alice, preceded him in death in 1944. He leaves 9 grandchildren and 9 great granddaughters. Cremation will be in Greenwood, IN and burial will be at the convenience of the family in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family suggests that memorials be given to the Hamilton Community Foundation, the Presbyterian Church of Hamilton, Asera Care Hospice of Indianapolis, IN, or the charity of your choice.
