News Death Notice
SPOHN, Dave Age 57, of Hanover Township, Ohio, passed away December 9, 2014. He was born on May 13, 1957 in Columbus, Ohio the son of Charles and Dorothy (McConville) Spohn. On June 16, 2001, he married Shelley Emmich. Dave received his Master Certification in Landscaping through the Ohio Nursery and Landscaping Association and was employed as a horticulturist and plantsman. He is survived by his wife, Shelley Spohn; two children, Allison (Tiffany) Rhoadsmith and Andy (Ashley McConnell) Rhoads; one grandson, Elliott; his mother Dorothy Spohn; one brother, Steven Spohn; and many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Spohn. Visitation will be held at Charles C. Young Funeral Home, Ross, Ohio on Saturday, December 13, 2014 from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:30 p.m. If desired, memorials may be made to the Ohio State University Foundation Fund for the OSU Marching Band, 1480 West Lane, Columbus, OH 43221. www.charlesyoungfuneralhome.com

Dear Shelley and family, I'm so sorry for your loss. I just learned of Dave's passing today, almost 3 years later. I worked for Dave at Delhi Flower & Garden in Tri County through 2011. I'm so sorry for your pain. Dave was a wonderful soul, and fantastic to work for. He treated every one with the respect that humans should have for each other, and always smiling. Mary Bush

I had the pleasure of getting to know Dave at frontgate as a new employee. He was so patient and kind.. A daily breath of fresh air. I am so sorry to hear about his passing.

Dave was one of the best men I knew. You only had to have one conversation with Dave to know how much he loved his wife and family. Dave will be greatly missed.
