Barbara Jane Paounoff Hartley Myrberg Hartley Spohn, died July 14, 2025. She was born in
Westfield, MA on July 22, 1945 to Victor and Adella (Trasko) Paounoff. She attended
Bucknell University, received her BSE from Westfield State College, and MBA from Western
New England College. She leaves her husband of 25 years, Richard Spohn, and 4 children:
Matthew Hartley of Gettysburg, PA; Meg McKitchen of Seekonk, MA; Katrin Iken (Joel) of
Boulder, CO; and Sven Myrberg (Lisa) of Cumberland, RI. Also 12 grandchildren, Jake,
Maggie, Lucy, Charlie, Greta, Ellianna, Magnus, and Cody, Carter, Dagney, Riley, and Myla.
She raised her family in Cumberland RI. After her marriage to Richard Spohn, they moved to
Mashpee, Cape Cod, MA, followed by Gettysburg, PA, and finally, Fairfield Glade, TN.

She loved to cook, bake, eat, knit, sew. An avid pickleball player, a Life Master in Bridge, a dog
lover, a hiker, a kayaker, skier. She visited all 50 states, was slightly right of Attila the Hun;
volunteered as a Girl Scout Leader, Hospice volunteer, provided a Safe Home for Abused
Women, was a mentor with Kids on the Rise, driver for FFG Resident Services. All in all, a
pretty good life!

Barb is deeply missed by her husband, Dick, her children, Matt, Meg, Kate and Sven, her
grandchildren and her friends.
