Donald ELMORE Obituary

ELMORE, Mr. Donald William Was born August 19, 1935. He departed this life on December 17th, 2017 at age 82. Donald was a US Army veteran and served in the Korean War. He was also a successful entrepreneur of several businesses including The Frying Pan, Elmore Construction, Clickity Clock Day Care, and Creative Corner Inc. He is preceded in death by his parents: Sylvester and Gladys Mitchell-Elmore; (3) brothers: James, Edward, and Robert Elmore and a sister, Joann Elmore Lewis. He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Cynthia Coleman-Elmore; devoted sisters, Shirley (Alvin) Smith of AZ, Bernice Jackson, Martha (George) Branner, both of CA; (3) sisters-in-law, Sondra, Lois, and Deborah Elmore; his (2) sons, Darren (Kim) Cordell and Anthony Young, both of Dayton; (5) daughters, Donna (Reginald) Elmore-Cole of Houston, TX, Kelly (Jamel) Elmore-Green of Dayton, OH, Sheila (Lawrence) Benjamin-McCleskey of Fountain Inn, SC, Doniell (Virl) Elmore-Murray, and Shedale Coleman, both of Dayton; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends, including lifelong friend, Beverly Combs-Elmore. Celebration of life services will be held 12:00 p.m., FRIDAY, December 22, 2017 at Greater Love Christian Church, 2345 Lakeview Ave., with Pastor Michael Barringer, officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Interment: Dayton National Cemetery. Repass immediately following burial at A Loving Heart Youth Services, 3195 Siebenthaler Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45406. Cynthia you have my most deepest and heartfelt condolences, Mr. Elmore was such a cool and nice man and he truly loved his Cynthia. and you truly loved him back just like the Bible said you wer'e supposed to.May you have peace in knowing that Mr. Elmore is now truly resting no more pain. Allow the Light of the Candle,to glow continuously as each Elmore descends up to Heaven. We shall truly, miss our Uncle Donald. This was a Great Man at all of his endeavors in Life and now in Heaven. You can rest now.
