Thank you for letting me be your mom. ~~yeah she talks to angels, they call her out by her name~~

For some reason you popped into my mind today and I had to get on here to look at you again. I miss back in Middle school all the talks we would have about troubles at home and our true hopes and dreams for our lives. It was devestating when I heard the news & you know I shed countless tears for you, Eddie. I love you & ask you to keep watching over me! Rest In Peace, my dear friend.

Hi Bubby,

Josh and I are getting ready to go to a park since the weather is beautiful today. I got to thinking about all of the times out at the lake house and just hanging out on the lake in that little paddle boat! :) haha you and david were always the ones who paddled. lol I wish you were here with us still so we could still make memories but in my heart I know I still have every single memory we shared together. I love you Eddie, give shadow a kiss for me. and give Uncle Mike and Cory a hug for me. I'll talk to you soon.

Love you,

Hi bubby,

I'm sorry I haven't been able to write any words of my own on here. I've just had a hard time as well as mom and dad, our family and your friends. I have a lot of letters that i've wrote to you that I put out on your grave. I love you and miss you so much. Classes have been really hard for me these past couple quarters. I just wish you were here to help me and everyone else. I'm getting yout little Ava bug when mom goes out of town in a couple of weeks. I wish you could be there too. I'm not very good with words, you knew that. lol its just hard to open up to other people. you were the only person that i could talk to and you would never judge. You would just call me a dumby and tell me what i was doing wrong. I miss you and i love you so much. i know one day we'll be with each other again. Just promise you'll wait for mom, dad, ava, tweak, me, amber, angela and the rest of our family and friends. I love you bubby. :'( and i miss you.

Now 3 little girls won't get the oppurtunity to know how great they were, but we have tons of memories to keep both of them alive forever.......again i'm so very sorry. Eddie and I dated for the summer. We had great times together.. we had a few fall outs, but that will never take away the bond we built. I moved to CO recently and we reconciled over myspace shortly before he died. I wish Ava and his mother the best, and I'm so sorry his life was cut too short. He had a great heart and I'm just happy I had the privelege of knowing him for the short three years I did. I Love ya Eddie and I will always miss you.

I went to school with eddie at waynesville and sinclair and loved how he could always make me laugh. I was lucky enough to hang out with him last monday before he left us. I didn't get to see him that often but when i did it was always great.I'll never forget how the last thing he said to me was, "come give me a hug crys, if i dont see you again for awhile." His memory will live forever. Deepest sympathy to his family.

I am so saddened by the loss of Eddie. I only met him this fall at Sinclair. We had two music courses together. He struck me as such a kind soul. I enjoyed the time I had getting to know him, and I am sorry that had ended so abruptly. He was well liked here, and he will be missed.

i use to see eddie all the time, my whole life i grew up with him in my life. he was the fun one, he made everyone laugh and smile, he wasnt one to take about feelings but if you were down he knew just what to say. i thought of him as one of my brothers, and it hurts so deeply to lose one. but he was a happy person and he would want us to be happy aswell, and as hard as that sounds to do we should all try to do this, to kinda give a small part of what he gave us back.

i love you dward.

Dear Barb and Ray,
I was deeply grieved to hear the news of your son. I cannot imagine the pain you feel right now. He has been a part of my daughter and grandbabies lives and they loved him dearly. Ava and the girls loved him playing the piano and guitar for them. He seemed passionate about his love for music and played beautifully. His passing will leave a great void in the hearts of all that have been fortunate enough to have known him. He seemed to have a never ending smile at times, huge smile with that silly lip ring that could never be forgotten. He was a great help to David whenever he needed him, He showed up and was always eager to work. There are no words to relieve the tremendous heartache and pain you must be feeling. I know my daughter feels the same. Words can never really express how deeply sorry I am that you have to endure this loss. May your friends and family bring you strength and comfort during this difficult time. I pray his precious memories can bring you some comfort and a smile knowing he touched many lives.

God, we stand before you broken-hearted
and ask you to heal these lives that must be parted
from this young man we can no longer hug and hold,
who will always be a part of us,
God, take this child of yours in your loving arms.
No more can he suffer any harm.
Bless him always and bless us too.
Be with us and help us to make it through these difficult times.
We will see you soon.

May Gods Blessings Be Upon You and Your Family,

Barb,

Eddie was one of my best friends all through school, i could always count on Eddie. I think when he first moved here we just clicked!I remember when he was on house arrest in Middle School he had you take us to see the Cat In The Hat just so he could get out of the house. I am very sorry for you, your family and Ava. He was an amazing person and i know he will be waiting on all of us to get up there! I know we got a angel watching over us now. I am happy to say i knew who Edward Greenway was and to say that he was one of my best friends. I wouldnt take anything back about Eddie and our friendship. Even the days when everything didnt go his way, we knew we could count on one another and i would always expect a phone call from him! I placed the cross out at his site yesterday just for him! You had an amazing son and now you have a amazing granddaughter and you can be the one to tell her about her daddy! Again i am sorry for your loss and god bless you all.

Dear Greenway family,

I had the pleasure of having Eddie in my English class at Sinclair this quarter and I can tell you it was a pleasure. He showed up late the very first day and when I gave him a hard time, he gave it right back. Later in the same class he played a couple songs for us on his guitar (he got a standing ovation). I only knew him five weeks but that was more than enough time for everyone in class to know Eddie was a funny, talented, insightful guy with a daughter he loved more than anything in the world. I'm so sorry for your loss but so glad we had the chance to know him, even for just a little while.

My most recent memory of Eddie is from the Thursday before his passing. He was leaving school and called to say that he wanted to take Ava out for Halloween, and wanted to take her to the costume shop. Eddie had recently taken Ava to the applefest with his buddy Dave, and I will never forget him telling us that Ava definitley had inherited the love of music because she was dancing & had an audience. Eddie genuinely touched the people in his life with his caring, loving smile, and the sense of " everything will be alright" attitude that he had.His sense of humor really got me a few times as well. He got that from his Mom. I have seen Eddie comfort & love with all his heart. Our prayers are with you now, and always Barb.

Dear Barb,
The thought of Eddie always brings a smile to my face. I remember our several emails we wrote back and forth for a couple of years making sure everything was in line for Eddie's graduation.

I'll always remember Eddie for his unique spirit, and intelligent way of verbalizing his disapproval for the new piercing rule at school. I always figured him to eventually be a lawyer. Instead he continued to touch the lives of all those who crossed his path.
I saw Eddie at the football game a couple of weeks ago and I remember thinking how happy he looked pushing the stroller. He was a dear youngman whom I will never forget. May his legacy live on in the heart of his beautiful daughter.
Take care Barb and if you need anything please don't hesitate to call.
