WINEBERG, Fern Mae Age 83 of Fairfield, passed away Friday, December 1, 2006 at Vitas Hospice - Ft. Hamilton. She was born October 8, 1923 in Hamilton, the daughter of Eugene and Ethel (Howe) Sloneker. On June 3, 1944 Fern married Samuel F. Wineberg in Washington, D.C. She was a member of the Trenton Mennonite Church. Fern's hobbies included cross-stitching, working jigsaw puzzles, shopping and music. She was a very loving person who enjoyed her job and her co-workers. Although she was active in many areas, Fern loved nothing more than her family. Her legacy of being the "Best Mom in the World" lives on in the children and grandchildren she dedicated her life to. She leaves behind her loving husband, Samuel F. Wineberg; son, Mark D. (June) Wineberg; daughters, Sheryl A. Garrod, Janet M. (Gary) Scott, and Teresa L. Thomas; grandchildren, Christa (Greg) Sigman, Beth (Josh) Logsdon, Heather (Ron) Snell, William (Kristin) Wineberg, Holly (Shawn) Baker, Adam Thomas, and Alex Scott; and great-grandchildren, Sarah Sigman, Hannah Sigman, and Haley Asbury-Thomas. Fern was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Ruth Shroer and Jean Ann Sloneker. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield with June Thomsen officiating. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Fairfield Community Foundation Scholarship Fund 5350 Pleasant Ave., Fairfield, OH 45014 or to Vitas Hospice11500 Northlake Dr., Ste. 400, Cinti, OH 45249.
