News Death Notice
BLEVINS, Fred Thomas "Governor" 82, of Middletown, died Thursday, November 6, 2014, at Kindred Hospital. He was born in Frenchburg, Kentucky on October 20, 1932 to parents Joseph and Anna (McCoughlin) Blevins. Fred worked in the sheet metal industry for 40 years, retiring as president of Sheet Metal Hall 224 in 1997. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge & Antioch Shrine. Mr. Blevins is survived by his wife, Vernita (Houser) Blevins; sons, Brian Blevins & Fred (Connie) Blevins; daughter, Debbie (Stan) Akers; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy Malarkey; parents; brothers, Clarence Blevins, Charlie Blevins, Kenneth Blevins, Bob Blevins, Jim Blevins & Paul Blevins and sister, Pauline Kirk. Memorial service will be held Monday, November 10, 2014 at 7:00 pm at Wilson- Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Pastor Kenny Brewer officiating. There will be a gathering of family & friends one hour prior to the service from 6:00 - 7:00 pm. Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 2808 Reading Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45206.
