Geneva SCHULTZ Obituary

News Death Notice

SCHULTZ, Geneva M. "Connie" age 96 of Lebanon passed away at Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born April 12, 1916 in Atlantic, IA, the daughter of Clyde and Betty Conrad. Geneva is survived by her son, John Oswalt and his wife Marilynne; and grandchildren, James Oswalt, Angela (SSGT Kyle) Lewis, and John D. Oswalt. She was preceded in death by two loving husbands, Jack A. Oswalt and Charles Schultz, her parents and siblings Clyde Conrad and Ruby Woodring. She served her country during WW II as an Army nurse in the Pacific. She continued in her nursing career/duties until her early 90's at which time she was forced by health reasons to be served by others in the nursing field. She often said that nurses never really retire as they have a special calling and continue to provide assistance whenever needed. She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all the people she came into contact with. Special thanks go out to all at the Kindred Nursing and Rehab Center for making her last 8 years so enjoyable. Services will be held at the family's convenience. In lieu of flowers, it has been requested that any donations should be made in her name to the Freedom Honor Flight Organization, PO Box 505, La Crosse, WI 54602 so that other WW II veterans might have opportunity to visit their memorial in Washington, DC. www.browndawsonflick.com
