James LIPSCOMB Obituary
News Death Notice
LIPSCOMB Jr., James M. Age 46, of Hamilton died Thursday, March 24, 2016 at his home from heart failure. He was born in Hamilton on January 13, 1970, the son of James Mr., Sr. and Roberta (Adams) Lipscomb. He was a 1988 graduate of Hamilton High School and a graduate of Miami University with a degree in English, Political Science and a minor in Ancient History. He was employed as the booking manager for the Cincinnati Children's Theatre. He was a drummer in bands including, Kelp, Mimeographs, Hookah Caterpillar, and the Dead Caesars and played at many venues. He is survived by his parents, James M. and Roberta Lipscomb, Hamilton; his brother, Robert H. (Denise) Lipscomb and their daughter, Elena of Saginaw, Michigan; his sister, Linda A. (Donald) Eschenbrenner and their children, Nicole, Brandon, Jeremy, Ryan, David, Elizabeth and Clayton, Hamilton; his special friend, Mindy Griffith; five cousins, Jeff and Rick Lipscomb and their families, Neila Hanges, Nancy Dawson and Kelly Craft; and their families; three great nieces; a host of other friends and family and his dog "Nadia". A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at 5:30p.m. at Weigel Funeral Home, 980 N W. Washington Blvd. Hamilton, with Pastor Jeremy Pruett officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until time of the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association, Great Rivers, P. O. Jim was always one to speak his mind openly and stand behind his position. More people should be so bold and hold to what they believe with conviction as he did. His brief stay here on earth should remind us all to take a closer look at how we live our lives. For we are like a vapor that is here now and gone with just a breath of wind. Jim left an indelible mark on the Hamilton scene with his music. Though life may have taken him, our memories perpetaute his legacy among the living. Rest old friend.
