Family-Placed Obituary


VONSTEIN, Janet L. (Conrad) Age 73, of Hamilton, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at Hospice of Hamilton at Sunrise after a long battle with Cancer. Janet was born on March 1, 1932, in Hamilton, the daughter of the late Arthur & Kathryn (Thompson) Conrad. She was a 1950 graduate of Hamilton High School. Janet was a Member of the Collinsville Presbyterian Church. She worked for the Bureau of Workman's Compensation, State of Ohio, for 19 years before retiring. Janet enjoyed traveling with Alberta (Sis) Oliver, her cousin and best friend. She enjoyed performing with her Line Dance group and working on her crafts. An avid reader, Janet also enjoyed writing poetry and had some of her poems published. She is survived by 3 daughters, Deniese (Mike) Dermon, Davida (James) Mckinney, and Duanna (Woody) Hensley; 6 Grandchildren, James Holland, Beth Fontaine, James Reimer Jr., Michael Dermon, Will Dermon, and Ashley Dermon; 3 great-grandchildren; a brother, Ray Louis Conrad; Nieces and Nephews; Aunts and Uncles. Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur & Kathryn Conrad; and a Grandson, Charles (Chuck) Holland, raised as one of her own and considered "a gift from God." The Family would like to thank the staff, Nurses and Aides of Hospice of Hamilton at Sunrise for taking such good care of our Mother. Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 24, 2005, at the Colligan Funeral Home, with Pastor Mike Gabbard from Collinsville Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be at Collinsville Cemetery. Visitation will be from Twelve Noon to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Cincinnati, Inc., C/O Bethesda Foundation, Inc., P.O. Box 633597, Cincinnati, Ohio 45263-3597.---
