Family-Placed Obituary


BENNETT, Larry Age 64, of Trenton, Ohio passed away Thursday, July 19, 2007 at his residence. He was born August 12, 1942 in Middletown, and lived in this area all his life. He was employed in heavy equipment and a crane operator at AK Steel for 30 years, retiring in 1995. He then worked for ADESA transporting vehicles for 5 years. He was a member of the Middletown Sportsman's Club and a member of the First Baptist Church of Trenton. He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Bennett in 1986. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Lindsay Bennett; one daughter, Kelly Ann Lawson of Farmersville; two stepsons, Darryl Lindsay of Middletown, and Randall S. Lindsay of Lebanon; five grandchildren, Sarah Lawson, Tyler Lawson, Jamie Lawson, Ashlee Lindsay and Meagan Lindsay; his mother, Cleo Bennett of Middletown; two sisters, Lois Cassidy of Middletown, and Joan Bryant of Middletown; and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, July 26, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 305 Cypress Ave., Trenton, Ohio, with Pastor Keith Spencer officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements by Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown.

I was sorry to learn of Larry's passing. I have many fond memories of the good times spent with Larry and his family in my childhood. It's unfortunate that our family that was once so close has drifted apart over the years. I'm sorry I will not be able to attend the memorial service but please accept my condolences.
