LARRY JENKS Obituary

JENKS, Larry K. 73 of Springfield passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2017 in his home with his family at his side. He was born July 30, 1943 in Xenia to the late Lester and Betty Jenks, who preceded him death. Also preceding him in death were his sisters, Kay McMann of Dayton and Sharon (Michael) Belcher, of Beavercreek. Larry was a graduate of Beavercreek High School and afterward worked as an electrician and was a longtime member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 82. Larry is survived by his wife of 54 years, Judy (Moore) Jenks and three sons, Brian Jenks (Tammie Wardlow), Brett Jenks, Jason (Terri) Jenks all of Springfield, three grandchildren; Tyler (Cassandra) Jenks, Nicholas Jenks and Lindsey Jenks, sisters in law, Janet Moore and Sandy Grimes, several nieces and nephews. Larry was a jack of all trades and master of so many, including electrical work, carpentry and landscaping. He had a generous heart, especially when it came to his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A private service will be held at Adkins Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, Larry's family ask donations be made to either Hospice of Dayton or the American Cancer Society. www.adkinsfunerals.com
