I met Mr.Derickson when I was 15,he told me he wanted to be called Mr.D. so thats what it was.He gave me my first job and rented me my first apartment for a $1.00 a day,I thought what a great deal, little did I know there was a catch I had to work for him for 36yrs. at the restaurant and 2yrs. at Custom Plastics. This may sound selfish but I think I knew him better than anyone.I grew up with him.He and I over the years talked about everthing we shared stories about family, work, our goals, our problems the REDS AND CUBS.we had secrets. He and I always laughed because everyone thought when he came to So.Bend he was there for work and to see everyone that wasn't it he had to get to Martin's deli for his (chicken salad) fix he loved it.I lost my father back in 1992 he was my hero, now I have lost my second father my friend Mr.D.In my prayers I thank you for all that you have given me in my life. Now be at peace with your daughter.

I first met Linn when our family moved to Hamilton so my dad could work at Bendix in 1951. We lived on Cleveland Ave across the street from the Dericksons.
He was a kind and generous man and a good friend to my parents Mike & Evelyn Mikelson.
My sympathy to the family.

So very sorry for your loss. I spoke with Linn just weeks ago and he was concerned yet optimistic. I will remember Linn that way. I will miss our talks of golf and baseball. We shared many stories together of life and work. But mostly about life! My heart goes out to you, Linn's family. We have lost a great man.

Linn was a Great Boss ! He was always there to answer questions, he never brushed you off. When he spoke to you it was real. I respected him and enjoyed working for him. I will miss his guidance and friendship, but most of all his honest opinion. I admired that most, This country has lost a true Business Leader and I will miss him everyday I walk in to Custom Plastics. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, I'm sorry for your loss.

So Sorry to hear of Linn. He was such a great man. I thought very highly of him. He made me feel like a member of his family instead of an employee. My heart goes out to his family. Former employee of Atlantic-Meeco.

We are so happy to have attended the family reunion which Linn hosted last summer. It was wonderful to visit with him and all of the cousins and families. Not only was he a gifted entrepreneur, but he was a great cousin who loved his family. We shall miss him. Our arms are around all of you and may God bless you. Love,

I've had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Derickson since he moved back to the area several years ago. He was such a kind and gentle man, always upbeat and smiling. I will miss seeing him around the club and sharing stories about our beloved Cincinnati Reds. My best to his family. I will never forget him.
