APGAR, Lois Jean Passed away on Wednesday June 10, 2015 surrounded by her loving family at Hospice of Hamilton. She was born on July 7, 1927 to Walter and Marie Beiser (Pfaffman). She married Richard C. Apgar on April 9, 1949 at St. John United Church of Christ in Hamilton. Surviving are her three loving daughters. Susan (Dave) Paxton of Vandalia, Ohio, Karla (Norm) Carney of Bowling Green, Ohio and Sally (Troy) Gross of Hamilton, Ohio. Also surviving Lois is her very special friend Ed South. She is survived by grandchildren Chris (Julie) Paxton, Kelly Paxton, Alex and Alden Carney, and Spencer, Conner and Chandler Gross and great grandchildren Tommy, William, Cody and Bryce Paxton and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She attended St. John's United Church of Christ and The Presbyterian Church of Hamilton. She was a member of Amicitia Club and a lifetime member of St. John's United Church of Christ. She enjoyed extensive traveling with Ed and enjoyed water aerobics at the West Side YMCA. Lois also enjoyed line dancing with her friends at Partners in Prime Senior Center. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard C. Apgar on November 20, 2005 and brothers, Eldon and Arnold Beiser and sister, Carolyn Eichhold. She formerly worked at Columbia Federal Savings and Loan and The Ohio Casualty until her retirement in 1990. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Hospice of Hamilton, 1010 Eaton Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio 45013 in care of the Brenda Saylor Fund, which provides beverages for family members of Hospice patients. The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice of Hamilton for their care of our mom while she was a patient there. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Weigel Funeral Home, 980 N. W. Washington Blvd. with Dr. John H. Lewis officiating.
