FAGIN, Neil Gene Age 86, of Brookville, Indiana died Sunday, October 13, 2013 at the Brookville Healthcare Center in Brookville, Indiana. Born June 10, 1927 in Hamilton, Ohio he was the son of the late Robert & Elizabeth (Zieglar) Fagin. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. On January 7, 1956 he and the former Billie Jo Adkins were united in marriage, and she survives. Neil was retired from Miami University in Oxford, and had also been a Dairy Farmer for much of his life. After retirement he worked for several years at Singers Greenhouse in Brookville. He had been a member of the Butler County Soil & Water Conservation District. Besides Billie Jo, his wife of over 57 years, survivors include one daughter, Laurie J. Rosenberger of Bath, Indiana; three sons, Jess D. Fagin of College Corner, Ohio; Jay D. Fagin of Oxford, Ohio, and Casey L. Fagin of Okeana, Ohio; 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Danny J. Fagin, a daughter, Patty Zehler, as well as a brother, Larry Fagin. Funeral Services on will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, October 18, 2013, at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home. Military Services will be conducted by the Bernard Hurst Post #77 of the American Legion immediately following the Funeral Services on Friday at the Funeral Home. Committal services will take place in Collinsville Cemetery in Butler County, Ohio at 2:00 P.M. on Friday. Family & friends may visit from 4 until 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.
