Even after all these years, Doc Wilkinson has no one to compare to his compassion for children and adults.
We talk of him often and still miss him . I miss talking to his lovely wife who always made you feel comfortable when you had any questions. Thanks again to both of you for being in all of our lives!

We always think of Scott with the greatest admiration and fondness. What wonderful care and advice he provided us with in raising our children along with helping us to keep our VW healthy as well! We never realized until reading about Scott that he shared a birthday with both of us, October 16th.
He made a wonderful contribution to our town.

As secretary of the Harvard Class of 1955, I I write to extend my condolences to the Wilkinson family upon learning of Scott's demise. I know that all of his classmates and friends at Harvard will be as sorry as I was to receive the news.

We will always remember Dr. Wilkinson, as he was our son's first Dr. when our little one was born at McCullough Hyde hospital in 1976. We remember him as being wise, gentle, having a great sense of humor and just being a natural with babies. Our son is now a fine young man and we are grateful to Dr. Wilkinson for getting him off to a fine start. Thank you Dr. Wilkinson.

I will always remember Dr. Wilkinson for the drawings of WWII planes he scribed for me when I was in the hospital. One of a kind!

Brilliant, humble, caring ... NONESUCH! Dr. Wilkinson was much loved, as was Mrs. Wilkinson, his secret weapon. We were very privileged to have them in our lives in such a special way.

Dr. Wilkinson diagnosed my heart defect at 3 years old after the previous pediatrician told my parents nothing was wrong with me - if not diagnosed, I likely would have died by age 6. Whatever comes after this life, I hope Dr. W is reaping all the rewards - I've never forgotten what you did for me....even 31 years later. Rest in peace - your legacy lives on through all of "your kids"

There are not enough words to express what a fine Doctor he was. He took care of our four children. The boys loved him, but our daughter always cried when he would try to talk to her. I remember him telling me, "I'd cry too if I had to look at me". I also remember him giving them shots when they were babies and then he would hand them to Mrs. Wilkinson to walk with them and soothe them. They were quite a pair. I will be forever grateful for the care he gave them. Our deepest sympathy to Mrs. Wilkinson and family.

We loved Doc Wilkinson. He treated his 'children' (patients) with a gentle kindness, and us parents with great common sense advice and patience. And thanks to Mrs. Wilkinson, a definite team effort! My deepest condolences for the Wilkinson Family.

Doctor Wilkinson was a treasure, a man of brilliance, kindness, and humor. In our family we still share stories of his talent and delightful eccentricities and look back on his practice as the standard by which all others should be measured. We hold his family in our hearts.

Dr. Wilkinson was a wonderful doctor! My children loved going to the doctor because of his sense of humor and loving care towards them. He was a genous when it came to diagnosing illnesses in children and I will greatly miss the man who took such great care of my family. God Bless you all.

Dr. Wilkinson was such a loving, caring and humorous pediatrician. Back in 1975 we spent almost 10 weeks taking our daughter from one doctor to another, each one telling us she had nothing more than an ear infection. Our final trip would be made to Dr. Wilkinson. Having never seen her before, it was only five minutes until he gave us a diagnosis, hospitalized her for four days to allow us to rest, then she was cured. We never doubted him once when he cared for our daughters. His wife was just as caring as he. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends, and the hundreds of children he dedicated his life to.

Scott was a cherished part of our family's life. We loved him as a family doctor for our three kids and as a friend who loved to go to mom and pop restaurants with our family. I could fill this guest book with stories about our time spent with Scott and Caroline both professionally and as a friend. He was brilliant and cantankerous, sensitive and loving and just about the most interesting person I have known. We will miss him.

He was an incredible pediatrician with amazing diagnostic skills. He once told me he was taught to diagnosis and that doctors today are taught to test. Loved his quirky sense of humor, his reluctance to cause discomfort for babies, and his remarkable memory. An incredible mind Oxford benefitting Oxford children and parents for so many years. Thank you, Dr. Wilkinson!
