My deepest condolences to John and the rest of the Malone family.

Thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Although I did not know him, it sounds like Terry was quite the good man and positive role model for all in his community. Cherish the memories, take pride in his influence, and seek comfort in his faith.

We would like to extend our deepest condolences to the Malone family ..as members of a large family we understand your personal connection and the support that you will share with each other. Coach Malone was from an era of hard work , perseverance , and a lifetime of Faith. Our father fought many a battle on the Football field with Coach Malone and enjoyed the rival and rigorous competition that only Badin and Carroll could provide. The best way to honor coach is to attempt to live our lives how he did ..with honor and integrity. May he find peace with his Father in eternal life. God bless you all. Coach Jim Spoerl and families

When I stopped to see my Mom this evening she told me of your Dad's passing, my heart goes out to you Therese & Malone Family. Nothing can prepare us for the loss of a parent, you know this to be true, but after all these years he is now reunited with your Mom. The good memories and stories will go on for years to come, truly respected and loved by so many of us. Always Mr. & Mrs. Malone to me.

I can still hear him call out |ger-ils ger-ils, ger-ils for girls! he had had all boys and we were his first history class of all girls. He had no idea what to call us(he had addressed the boys by their last name, but that did not seem right) He had no idea what to do with giggling or crying girls. (found out later, that ger-els" is the Irish way of saying girls.)
0ne time, Elaine Martin and I , one of us dropped a pencil and we both reached for it.
We had a playful tug of war, just for fun. We were in the front row. Coach Malone stood towering over us. Ger-ils! he bellowed. Elaine said she was afraid he would squash her like a bug! We stopped playing--REAL FAST!
One time I did a report on the Humor of Lincoln, using one of mom's books. (mom was a Lincoln buff)
He called me up to the front. I thought he was going to question the validity of the book, or say there was no such book! I nervously walked to the front. But he surprised me by asking if he could borrow the book to read! Mom said OK.
We really did like him. We respected him.
He was a good history teacher. We enjoyed the class.

I knew Terry for a long time. We were at Xavier U. at the same time. I remember him running a touchdown against UC and I beating the bass drum very hard. Terry was a great model for many of the youth of our day. He made a profound mark at Catholic High School and Badin.
Our sincere sympathy is expressed to his family and many friends. RIP Terry.
