Timothy Sorrell Obituary
News Death Notice
SORRELL, Timothy Ray age 58, passed away at his home on Tuesday, October 19, 2010. He was born June 8, 1952 to Pauline (Chaney) Sorrell and James L. Sorrell, Jr. Tim retired from AK Steel in 2006 with 32 years of service. He had since been employed by Kroger Marketplace in Liberty Township. Tim served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Tim was a quietly kind and gentle man who loved his family and home. Tim was dearly loved and will be missed by his wife of 18 years, Gail (Evans) Sorrell; his mother, Pauline (Robert) Miller; daughter, Nikki (Jeff) Palun; son, Adam Sorrell; brother, James (Linda) Sorrell, III; nephews, Scott (Jennifer) Sorrell and Randy (Melissa) Sorrell. He will also be greatly missed by many extended family members and friends. Tim was preceded in death by his father, James L. Sorrell, Jr. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time Saturday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon Saturday at the funeral home with Dr. Eric Newell officiating. Burial will be at the Butler County Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Friends Humane Society, 5225 Trenton Road, Trenton, OH 45067. Condolences may be sent to the family via our website at [email protected].

Gail, I saw Greg the other day and he told you lost Tim. I am sad for you and can't help but wonder why such a lovely person has to endure so many losses in such a short period of time. It just does not seem fair.

I had always looked forward to going to work at Krogers because Tim would be there.We were always helping each other on anything that needed to be done.I am going to miss that. My thoughts and prayers are prayers are with you and your family.

I am so very sorry to learn of Tim's death. I have worked with him at the Kroger Marketplace in Liberty Twp. for the last five years. He brought much to the work place including a great sense of humor. The Drug GM Department will not be the same without him. My Heart,Thoughts and Prayers go out to his family.

My name is Eleni Edwards ,my mother was Barbara Poolitsan and she was "Timmy's" babysitter. I was 6 years older than him and since I never saw him after he became a man in my mind he always remained a cute little boy. I am sorry for your loss.

To the Sorrell Family,
Tim was a great man and an awesome person to work with. I can not explain how much of an exuberant person he was he never had a sad face and did what he could to cheer everyone up. My condolences go to the family and may the Lord bless you in this time of grief.
