Dana Ducote Obituary

Dana White Sentell Ducote, 67, passed away August 3 at her residence in Picayune, MS. A native of Hammond, she graduated from Hammond High Class of 1975, attended Southeastern Louisiana University, and was a passionate supporter of the SLU Lions and the LSU Tigers.

She is survived by her brother Rick White (Amite), grandchildren Michael and Alexander Ribando (Hammond) and Benjamin and Miley Smith (Picayune), great-grandchild Faith Marie Ribando (Hammond), uncle Richard Burton (Hammond), and aunts Marlene Burton Gobin (Hammond) and Nadine Burton Lagarde (Amite).

She is preceded in death by her daughters Stacey Sentell Ribando (Hammond) and Lindsay Sentell Smith (Picayune), grandson Richard Michael Sentell (Slidell), husband Richard Ducote (Slidell), parents Dewitt John "D.J." and Evelyn Burton White (Hammond), and sister Sheryl Anne White and brother Michael Burton White, both of whom died in infancy.

Her memorial service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, October 11, at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Hammond. All who wish to attend will be welcome.
