Karl Champlin Obituary

Karl Champlin was born on October 9, 1933 in Hanford, California. He was raised on a dairy farm where he met the love of his life, Janice. They married on June 25, 1955 and were blessed with nearly 68 years of marriage. He loved to have fun, fish, hunt and spend time with family and friends.
He is survived by the his loving wife, Janice; his sisters: Helen Headrick and Do Dooley; daughters: Debbie Westwood and Tisha Schafer along with her husband, Mike; daugher-in-law: Marlene Champlin. Grandson: Brian Schafer along with his wife, Erin; great grandchildren: Madison and Mason. Granddaughter: Ashly Champlin along with her spouse, Michael; and great grandchildren: Jack, Annabel and Octavia, and grandson: Robert Champlin.
Preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Jane Champlin; brother: Bud Champlin; and his son: Alan.
His Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at the Elks Lodge at 506 N. Douty St. in Hanford, California at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to: Valley Children's Healthcare Foundation 9300 Valley Children's Place M/S PC17 Madera, California 93636 or to Ronald McDonald House of the Central Valley 9161 Randall Way Madera, California 93636.

So sorry for your loss, Janice. It is wonderful to see your marriage was a long one. I remember you were a very young bride and very beautiful.

I didn't know until now, Karl had passed. A neighbor for many years, he was always busy. I believe I was 10, when I met him. We pheasant hunted his property between his home and the Mello's corner property. I'm saddened by his passing, yet happy knowing he lived a long and fulfilling life. Many thoughts and love to you Janice, Debbie, and Tish.
