Mr. Mair was my first high school English teacher. I can still remember his opening statements about how our names would be placed on each assignment and his passion for English and poetry. He was a true asset to the the students at Hanford High. My condolences to his wife and family.
Sincerely, Lora (Azevedo) Daniels, HUHS Class of 1987

My condolences to Lonnie's family. I worked with Lonnie at Hanford High School for over 20 years. He made me a better teacher and was one of the very first colleagues to not only welcome me but also to mentor me. He would meet with me to discuss lessons and to offer suggestions and advice. I am quite sure he helped me secure a teaching position with the district as he would ask for me to sub his classes and was instrumental in getting me a job with the district! I have such deep respect for his professionalism, his intellect and his kindness. He made people's lives better, and I am so very thankful that I knew him.

I remember Lonnie as a highly respectable, professional teacher who was always friendly and professional to me. I could always count on Lonnie to return my morning greeting with a hearty and sincere greeting of the same.
A truely "Good Guy".
Very Sincerely, Richard King
