January 24, 1958 - December 27, 2022
On December 27, 2022, Lupe Posada peacefully passed away surrounded by her husband and family, she was 64 years old. Lupe was the middle child of 11 born to Miguel and Luz Zapata; she was raised in the City of Selma and graduated from Selma High School in 1976. Lupe worked at Bargain Mart, Internal Revenue Service and the County of Fresno Child Support Services where she Retired in 2011 after 21 years.
Lupe was a Wonderful Daughter, Beautiful Sister, Loving Wife/Mother/ Grandmother, Devoted Friend, and the Most Amazing Cook ever. Lupe leaves a huge void in our hearts and will be greatly missed. Lupe is survived by her husband of 46 years, Ricardo (Richard) Posada Sr., son Ricardo Jr., daughters Guadalupe (Lupe) Jr., and Blanca; her 3 grandchildren Carolina Jr., Ricardo III and Jeremiah; father Miguel H Zapata, brothers Avelino, Mike, Jesse, Max, Armando, and Jerry; sisters Melecia, Delfina, Paula, and Jeannie; in-laws and nieces and nephews. Lupe was preceded in death by her mother Luz Medina Zapata, and her grandparents Jose and Delfina Zapata and Benito and Gregoria Medina.
Services will be held in Selma; Wednesday, January 18, 2023 Thomas-Marcom Funeral Home Visitation 4-8 PM; Rosary at 6 PM. Thursday, January 19, 2023 St. Joseph's Catholic Church at 9 AM. Interment to follow at Floral Memorial Park.
