SHARON LOUISE WOLFRUM

November 15, 1943 – October 17, 2025

Sharon was born in Santa Barbara, CA on 11/15/1943, to Maxine and Milburn Kemp. She attended school in Greeley, CO through May 1964, when she received a degree in English from Colorado State College of Education. After moving to AZ in 1965 with husband Larry Wolfrum (div. 1981), Sharon taught English, Reading, and Southwest Studies at 3 local high schools, as well as at Glendale Community College. Two children, Daniel Mark (1968) and Katharine Louise (1970) completed their family.

After becoming chronically ill in 1986, Sharon spent her days reading, writing, researching, and tutoring. She moved to Selma, CA in 1990, and the best pastime became traveling to AZ, especially times Nana spent with 7 amazing grandchildren. On 10/17/2025, Sharon passed away at home surrounded by all the things she treasured. A celebration of her life will be held in early 2026.

Sharon is survived by Danny and Aida Wolfrum and their children, Daniel Jr, Jeremy, Julie, Aidan, and Christian plus 6 cherished great grandchildren; Kitty Dessenberger (Scott) and their children, Rachel and Wyatt; Younger sister, Karen Lanning, nephew Jason Lanning and his daughter Liya, plus cousins Terry, Davie, and Don Shedd; Special friends Nirmal Singh, Simran Sekhon, and lifelong friend Vicki Knespel.
