Tony Caldwell, 62, of Hannibal, MO, passed away at 10:02 PM, Saturday, August 9, 2025, at his home in Hannibal, MO.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal, MO. Private Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal, MO. Pastor Jim Allen will officiate.
Friends and Family are invited to Tony's Life Celebration at a visitation that will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday, August 18, 2025, at the funeral home.
Tony was born April 5, 1963, in Hannibal, MO to Kenneth L. Caldwell and Dora L. Smith Caldwell and the grandson of Kenneth and Lena Caldwell and Carl and Mattie Smith.
Tony was preceded in death by his father, Kenny; grandparents; and his "best little buddy", his dog, Dexter.
Tony is survived by his mother, Dora (Frank Waelder); brother, Justin Caldwell; sister, Sherry Wallace (Neil); nieces, Sara Malone (Cody), Amanda McGraw and Sadie Wallace (Miles); nephews, Jeremy Bowen (Victoria), William Wallace (Charlotte), and Jonathan Wallace (Nataleigh). The lights of Tony's life were his great nieces and nephews, Aly and Mason Malone, Harper Gibbons, Bo McGraw, Paige and Kouper Bowen, Dolton and Addison Tyge, and Harley Hargrave. He is also survived by his special friends, Rob and Debbie Smith, Jose and Madison Flores, and Ashley Maldonado.
Tony served in the Missouri Army National Guard.
Professionally, Tony worked in sales in the technology industry. Most recently, Tony installed fiber optic internet for Ralls Technologies LLC.
Tony graduated from Hannibal High School in 1981. His favorite class in school was wood shop. Over the years, Tony made many beautiful pieces such as cross-bows, lamps, and cutting boards. He was an avid wrestler on the high school wrestling team. where he set several records. In later years, he went on to coach a wrestling team when he lived in Belen, New Mexico. Tony was beyond thrilled when he was asked to be in the coaches corner and help coach his nephew, Mason in a wrestling tournament last year.
An avid sports fan, Tony's dedication to his teams knew no bounds. He spent many hours cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Blues hockey, and Tom Brady. Tony's love for sports was paralleled by his enjoyment of activities that brought him closer to friends, he was a regular at the bowling alley and golf courses. Riding four-wheelers or side by sides, was one of Tony's favorite pastimes. Not only did Tony cherish his time outdoors, but he also had a soft spot for the long-running soap opera "Days Of Our Lives." It was his guilty pleasure, a slice of relaxation in his otherwise active lifestyle. Beyond his hobbies and interests, Tony was an exceptional cook, he delighted friends and family with his famous chili. Above all, Tony treasured his family, especially his father, Kenny that was his hero. Tony will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Honorary pallbearers will be Rodney Smith, Jose Flores, Erin Brace, Jeremy Bowen, Jonathan Wallace, William Wallace, Cody Malone and Mason Malone.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Northeast Missouri Humane Society.
