Paul R. Chamberlain

PAXINOS — Paul R. Chamberlain, 81, passed away Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, in Sunbury Community Hospital.

He was born Dec. 3, 1932, in Paxinos, a son of the late Robert and Martha (Paul) Chamberlain.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Paul married the former Thelma "Dolly" Lindemuth, who preceded him in death in 2012.

Paul owned and operated a farm in Shamokin Township and was also employed as a truck driver and mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service.

He was a member of Ash Grove United Methodist Church, Paxinos, Stonington Fire Company and the Americus Hose Company, Sunbury. He enjoyed camping, motorcycle riding and spending time with his grandsons.

Surviving are four children and their spouses, Robert and Barbie Chamberlain, of Lancaster, Deb Durham, of New York, Jean and George Persons, of North Carolina, and Allen and Denise Chamberlain, of Navron; two grandsons, Cody Durham and Bobby Chamberlain; two siblings and their spouses, Ned and Shirley Chamberlain, of Paxinos, and Maryann and Ermie Hill, of Paxinos, and a sister-in-law, Carol Chamberlain.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charlie and Melvin.

CHAMBERLAIN — Paul R. Chamberlain, 81, of Paxinos. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury. Burial with full military honors will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
