Richard Shaun Jarrett, of Harrison, went home to be with the Lord on Jan. 1 (2024) at his home. He was born March 3, 1963, in Harrison, Arkansas. The son of Curtis and Marilyn (Dees) Jarrett. Richard was married to the love of his life, Debbie (Hickenbottom) Jarrett. He was a member of the Northside Church of Christ.
Richard was a life-long resident of Harrison, Arkansas, and was a Harrison High School graduate of 1981. He was a genuine people person; loved by all who met him. He built his dream home in Bear Creek Springs, a handmade log cabin that was constructed out of local white oak logs and resided there with his wife, Debbie, for the past 15 years. He was an avid outdoorsman; fishing for trout on the White River, hunting deer in the Ozarks and tending to his garden on the creek.
Some of his favorite times were taking road trips with his dad to South Arkansas to pick up
watermelons and selling home-grown produce at the farmer's market. Richard was a master on the grill and smoker and loved to cook for his family and friends.
Richard held various jobs throughout his life: Harrison Daily Times, M&M Moving, Harrison Grocery (Pippin Wholesale) and Wood Motor Company.
Richard is survived by his wife, Debbie Jarrett, of the home; parents, Curtis and Marilyn (Dees) Jarrett, of Harrison; brother, Michael (Deborah) Jarrett, of Branson West; sister, Cindy (Donald) Johnson, of Cabot; stepson, Travis (Stefanie) Wagoner, of Valley Springs; stepdaughter, Elizabeth (Josh) Hames, of Harrison; nephew, Andrew (Julie) Jarrett, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; niece, Ellen (Aaron) Wagner, of Waterloo, Iowa; seven grandchildren; and a host of other extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 4 (2024) at Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 5 (2024) at Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison. Services will be officiated by Steve Powers and Michael Jarrett. Burial will be in
Maplewood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Randy Crawford, Tony Moore, Roger Cunningham,
JJ Rose, Travis Wagoner and Josh Hames. Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. Tom Leslie, Dr. Scott Ferguson, Andrew Jarrett, Mark Hanshaw, Allen Parks, Ken Milburn, Scott Leal, Joe Devito, Phil Pulis and John Wray.
